For the paid subscribers this year, I am posting a memoir, then one on the Italian Pantry and a post about my mentors. It takes a village to really dive deep into a new culture and make it home.
We were supposed to have gotten married in Mexico, but the shattered tibia and fibula screwed that up. After the wedding reception, my Mom threw it for us at home; when we did get married, we didn’t tell anyone.
A few years after the “non-wedding,” we finally tied the knot. Living in Italy as a married woman would make my life easier and give my mom less worries.
